David "D-Nero" - Sat Jun 9 |
| The Puerto Rican Artist David "D-Nero" Marquez was born in Millington, a Naval Air-Station Military Base in Memphis, Tennessee on February 2nd 1982. Growing up, D-Nero had later moved to Panama (South America), North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky (Ft. Knox), and finally Tampa, Florida where he made a name for himself in the Latin Urban genre. D-Nero began singing at the age of 3 where he would cover songs with his father and uncles, who were all singers, musicians and composers. It was no doubt the young latino would follow the family tradition. He began playing the guitar by the age of 12 and started writing his own music a year later. Many of D-Nero's influences besides his father and family members were famous Latin artists such as Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, Marc Anthony, El Gran Combo and many more. He was also influenced by many other english artists as well. Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, The Eagles, The Beatles and Eric Clapton were just to name a few. D-Nero would then sing covers to these artist which landed him gigs in local bars and night clubs around the Tampa Bay and St. Pete area.
